Founded in 1982 by a Vietnamese immigrant family, Dong Phuong is a New Orleans institution—named an American Classic by the James Beard Foundation. And their King Cakes are some of the city’s most coveted, with people lining up outside every morning for the chance to secure one. Their award-winning Cinnamon King Cake is amongst our favorites, finished with a signature cream cheese frosting.

Cinnamon King Cake: Enriched bleached flour (wheat flour, malted barley flour, niacin, iron, thiamine, riboflavin, folic acid), sugar, margarine, eggs, butter, milk powder, yeast, cinnamon, salt, vanilla extract, and calcium propionate as a preservative

Icing: Cream cheese, butter, shortening, powdered sugar, salt, and vanilla extract
